Laos, April 2017

2nd May 2017

I was recently in Laos and visited a remote village. All the inhabitants of the village were from a distinct, minority, ethnic group in Laos. They spoke the 'Kalum' language which is not in written form. There are less than 1,000 of these people in Laos, who originate from the Indian sub-continent.

There was a man there who had been educated in a university in Laos, and spoke reasonable English. We were able to spend time together and he shared some of his struggles with the culture and traditions of his people. I shared with him the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and how Jesus' blood was shed to bring forgiveness and remission of our sins. Also, how Jesus rose from the dead and is now seated in heaven. How eternal salvation comes through, faith in Christ and, acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Lord of our lives.

I asked if he would like to pray with me and accept Christ... he said yes. We prayed together there in his village. He said nobody from his ethnic group, in Laos, has ever accepted Christ before. I gave him my website and YouTube channel details which have extensive, free teaching and discipleship materials. You may like to pray for him. His name is Mr Hook.

With love, Andrew
